One of my New Year's resolutions was to FINALLY start the Bunnies & Yarn blog and to write some free crochet patterns for all of you!
The first free pattern had to be (obviously) something related to rabbits or bunnies :D
So here it is: The Rabbit Keychain Crochet Pattern!

RABBIT KEYCHAIN - CROCHET PATTERN
Skills you need:
- Basic Crochet and Amigurumi Skills
- Basic sewing and embroidery skills (to join parts and embroider nose)
Final size: About 2.5 in (6.5 cm) tall.
The pattern is worked using US Crochet Terms. Conversions to UK terms are shown below in parentheses:
- sc – single crochet (UK=double crochet)
- inc(sc) – increase in single crochet (UK=increase in double crochet)
- dec(sc) – decrease in single crochet (UK=decrease in double crochet)
- fo – fasten off (UK=fasten off)
- mr – magic ring (UK=magic ring)
Supplies:
- White and pink sport weight yarn
- 2.5 mm. crochet hook
- 2 (6 mm.) safety eyes
- Keychain
- Pink felt
- Yarn needle
- Stitch markers
- Scissors and silicon (or glue)
- Stuffing material of your choice
Notes:
- This pattern uses US Crochet Terms.
- Work in rounds, without joining the rounds. Use a stitch marker so you know where a round begins.
- You can make a bigger keychain by using a larger size of hook or by using a thicker yarn.
- Stuff the head firmly. Don't stuff ears.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Head:
Make 1. Use white yarn. Attach safety eyes between rounds 7 and 8, leaving 4 stitches between the eyes.
Round 1: 6 sc in MR (6)
R2: Inc(sc) in every stitch (12)
R3: Inc(sc) in every stitch (24)
R4-10: Sc around (24)
R11: [1 dec(sc)] x12 (12)
R12: [1 dec(sc)] x6 (6)
FO. Stuff firmly. Close the gap by joining the 6 stitches of the last round of sc. Weave in tail.
Ears:
Make 2. Use white yarn.
Round 1: 8 sc in MR (8)
R2-5: Sc around (8)
R6: [2 sc, 1 dec(sc)] x2 (6)
FO. Don't stuff. Flatten ears and sew to the head.
Details:
Embroider nose with pink yarn. Add a piece of pink felt to each ear. Attach keychain to the top of the head.
